Ecological Transformation: Working Together to Combat Climate Change

Recognizing our role and responsibility in the environmental and societal transition, we have implemented a comprehensive strategy aimed at reducing our impact and making our institution a model of sustainability. This approach is reflected in concrete actions ranging from the environmentally responsible management of our campuses (energy, digital technology, biodiversity) to the systematic integration of climate and sustainable development issues into the education of all our students.

Reducing Our Greenhouse Gas Emissions
We place the fight against climate change at the heart of our priorities. Reducing our greenhouse gas emissions is a top priority in all our activities.
Preserving and Promoting Biodiversity
Our Saint-Martin-d'Hères campus, one of the region's largest urban green spaces, is home to a remarkable wealth of biodiversity. Recognizing this responsibility, we are firmly committed to preserving the flora and fauna it shelters.
Conserving our resources and preventing waste
Strategies for sharing equipment, preventing waste through repairs, and extending equipment warranties are all initiatives currently underway at our university
To educate students who are informed and aware of environmental issues
One of the challenges is to raise awareness and educate all students about socio-environmental issues, providing them with the tools to become informed and engaged citizens.
Promoting Environmentally Responsible Research
Our goal is to create the ideal conditions so that our entire research community can fully exercise its responsibility by becoming a key player in societal transitions and transformations.
Adopting a Responsible Procurement Policy
Our goal is to continue and expand our consideration of environmental, social inclusion, and regional issues in our procurement policy, while complying with regulations.
Creating an Environmentally Responsible Digital Environment
We are implementinga policy aimed at raising awareness among our staff and students to limit equipment replacement, improve the energy efficiency of data centers and networks, and promote more environmentally responsible uses of digital technology.
