Graduate School: Learning Through Research

In the face of the major challenges of the 21st century, we place research at the heart of our learning strategy through our Graduate School. This model of educational excellence, designed for master’s students and engineering school students, draws on interdisciplinary approaches and international partnerships to train future decision-makers, scientists, and experts capable of transforming scientific discoveries into concrete solutions for society.
At Université Grenoble Alpes, we hold a strong conviction: the major challenges of the 21st century can only be met by strengthening the ties between education, research, and innovation. Training talents capable of understanding the world's complexity, bridging disciplines, innovating, and turning scientific discoveries into concrete solutions is a core ambition of our strategy. With this in mind, we have developed our Graduate School: an educational model that places research at the heart of learning, preparing scientists, engineers, experts, and decision-makers capable of supporting the world's major transformations.

Training at the Heart of Research

The Graduate School brings together master’s degree programs and engineering schools centered on major scientific and societal themes. Backed by world-class research laboratories and an internationally recognized scientific environment, students benefit from an education informed by the latest advances in research and develop the skills needed to tackle complex challenges.

Promote interdisciplinarity and openness

Because today's challenges transcend disciplinary boundaries, the Graduate School encourages interdisciplinary approaches, international collaborations, and interactions with socio-economic stakeholders. It offers students an environment conducive to innovation, experimentation, and the development of new solutions for society.
