Academic units: schools, colleges, and institutes

We have structured our educational programs around seven major academic units. These units are designed to encompass education, lifelong learning, research, and innovation. Each has its own governance structure, as well as financial and human resources.

École en sciences sociales et des territoires, Université Grenoble Alpes (ESST - UGA)

ESST brings together expertise in law, economics, urban planning, and geography. With more than 8,300 students, it fosters an interdisciplinary approach, combining legal, economic, and territorial perspectives to analyze and support the major transformations taking place in our societies and their environments. By combining academic excellence, professional expertise, and a strong regional focus, ESST trains the decision-makers, experts, and agents of change that our societies need to address contemporary challenges: social and technological change, ecological and energy transitions, regional planning, and evolving economic models.

The components of the ESST:

École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Grenoble, Université Grenoble Alpes (ENSAG – UGA)
