An Inclusive University: Equality and the Fight Against Discrimination

At Université Grenoble Alpes, equality, parity, and the fight against all forms of discrimination are top priorities. This policy commitment to inclusion is structured around two main pillars: promoting professional equality and diversity among all our staff, and actively combating discrimination, harassment, and sexist or sexual violence to ensure a respectful and secure work and study environment for our entire university community.

Inclusion

We are committed to combating all forms of discrimination, in accordance with the regulations and laws in effect in the state civil service. This commitment involves providing information, preventing discrimination, and addressing instances of discrimination.

Combating Gender Inequality

We have an active policy promoting gender equality among our staff. More broadly, we promote gender diversity and parity across all corps, ranks, levels, and within all disciplines and departments.

Combating Violence

We are committed to a zero-tolerance policy toward acts of violence and all forms of discrimination and harassment.

Support and Assistance for Students and Staff with Disabilities

We are committed to supporting every student and staff member with a disability and making inclusion a reality in our daily lives.

Welcoming Migrants, Refugees, or Asylum Seekers

Since 2011, Europe has seen a growing influx of people forced to flee their countries amid uncertain geopolitical contexts. At Université Grenoble Alpes, through our initiatives for people in exile, we uphold the values of academic freedom, inclusion, and solidarity so that these individuals can continue their studies and research.
