Gender-Based and Sexual Violence: Zero Tolerance

We are committed to preventing gender-based and sexual violence (GBV), protecting and supporting victims and witnesses of GBV, and handling reports of GBV.

Gender-Based and Sexual Violence: What Are We Talking About?

Sexist and sexual violence (VSS) refers to all acts, remarks, and behaviors imposed by one person on another that are sexist or sexual in nature. This type of violence has multiple causes and manifests in various ways: remarks, actions, harassment, and assaults.

What all forms of sexual violence have in common is that they are imposed: the person’s consent is neither sought nor respected.

We're talking about gender-based violence when actions, statements, or behavior are directed at a person because of their gender identity or sex.

We're talking about sexual violence when actions, remarks, and behaviors involve sexuality, the forcing of a sexual act, or touching of areas identified as sexual (thighs, breasts, buttocks, genitals, mouth).

Report sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) at Université Grenoble Alpes

An online form has been set up for staff and students of Université Grenoble Alpes and our component institutions—Grenoble INP - UGA and Ensag - UGA. Its purpose is to receive reports, on behalf of oneself or a third party, concerning SGBV, discrimination, or harassment.

Training in the Fight Against VSS

We offer training and awareness programs related to this topic to equip our staff and students with the tools they need to promote responsible behavior and combat inappropriate behavior.
