Central Administration

The central administration supports the implementation of Université Grenoble Alpes's strategy and contributes to the institution's smooth daily operations.

Organized around departments, central services, and shared services, the central administration plays a key role in steering the institution’s transformation. It helps ensure consistency in collective action, adapts to regulatory, digital, and environmental changes, and supports the goals outlined in the UGA 2030 strategic plan.

Central Offices and Departments

The departments and central offices have two main roles:
  • Strategy Support and Expertise
They contribute their technical and administrative expertise to inform decision-making at the institutional level.
  • Implementation of the strategy
They carry out the decisions made in practice. Depending on the issue, they either manage certain matters directly or grant a certain degree of autonomy to the constituent units (faculties, laboratories, etc.).

Shared Services

Shared services and service units allow us to effectively pool our expertise and resources. Through this approach, we provide consistent and tailored support to all parts of the university, with the goal of best serving our students, researchers, and partners.
