The Mentoring Program for Female and Male Teachers and Faculty Members
We offer a mentoring program open to our teachers and faculty members.
What is mentoring?
Mentoring is a professional relationship in which one person, known as a "mentor," supports another person, known as a "mentee." They kindly share their knowledge and experiences to help the mentee grow professionally.
Mentoring is a voluntary process for both parties that is based on the values of sincerity, mutual respect, and confidentiality.
Mentoring is a form of medium- and long-term learning that opens up new possibilities and helps individuals develop soft skills and positive attitudes. It is based on voluntarism, commitment, and confidentiality. In this context, the mentor is an experienced individual willing to share their experience and knowledge to support the mentee, who is seeking personal and professional fulfillment. Mentoring is thus a form of guidance, based on the values of mutual support and openness.
The General Directorate of Administration and Public Service, for its part, defines mentoring as "a supportive, helpful, interactive, and educational interpersonal relationship".
Mentoring also fulfills the requirement set forth in the European Charter for Researchers as part of the accreditation process Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).
