Our International Partners

Our International Partners

On an international scale, we build lasting partnerships in research, education, and innovation with universities, laboratories, major scientific infrastructure facilities, academic networks, and organizations within the Francophone community. With more than 1,200 partnerships in 150 countries, we connect the Grenoble-Alpes region to the world’s leading scientific, academic, and cultural communities.

Types of Partnerships

Our partnerships take many forms. They enable us to educate students with a global perspective, share knowledge, attract international talent, and develop joint solutions to challenges that transcend borders: climate, health, energy, digital technology, risks, education, culture, and society.

International Partner Universities

Our global strategic partnerships are designed to be far-reaching, foundational, and transformative alliances that span both the fields of education and research. These collaborations involve a multidimensional and reciprocal commitment, formalized through a joint action plan, the deployment of significant resources, and a mutual commitment spanning several years.

International Laboratories

Our research teams are involved in numerous international laboratories and research projects abroad, where they develop strategic scientific collaborations while contributing to the international visibility and appeal of Université Grenoble Alpes.

Major International Research Infrastructures

In Grenoble, the scientific community benefits from the presence of six major international research facilities. These institutes, with which we collaborate closely, offer exceptional opportunities for cutting-edge research with applications in numerous fields, such as advanced materials, the environment, energy, and health.

International University Networks

We are firmly committed to expanding our international network. We are building on our existing collaborations to actively strengthen our presence within global academic networks. This approach aims both to create specialized thematic networks (disciplinary and transdisciplinary) in our priority areas of development and to establish partnerships that foster the exchange of best practices on an international scale.

Francophonie

As a full member of the Agence universitaire de la francophonie and a major partner of Campus France, we carry out cooperation projects developed with our counterparts in Africa, Asia, and Canada.
