Our efforts to train actors and actresses who are informed and aware of environmental issues
Our mission is to ensure that all our students gain a solid and comprehensive understanding of the climate and environmental crisis. One of our goals is to raise awareness and educate all students about socio-ecological issues, equipping them with the tools they need to become informed and engaged citizens. Courses on these topics should be offered starting in the undergraduate program.
Increase the number of training programs related to socio-ecological transitions
There is strong demand among students to be educated and trained on these issues. These topics—ranging from the climate crisis to resource conservation—are now essential to their academic journey.
Our initiatives:
Develop new courses on socio-ecological issues for undergraduate students.
Offer educational programs accessible to all students at theUniversité Grenoble Alpes.
Developing accessible educational pathways for lifelong learning.
Build a community of instructors dedicated to teaching these courses.
Promote student involvement and engagement
We also seek to recognize or encourage civic engagement on these issues.
Our initiatives:
Strengthen the systems and procedures for recognizing student engagement.
Implement the open badge (a digital badge that recognizes transferable skills).
A Closer Look at the Grenoble Agreement
The signing in 2024 of the Grenoble Agreement to accelerate the socio-ecological transition in higher education and research formalizes this commitment to accelerating the transition within our institution, with 75 commitments made regarding education and student life.
