The system for reporting acts of violence

At the University ofUniversité Grenoble Alpes s (UGA), we are committed to listening to, supporting, and protecting witnesses and victims of all acts and forms of gender-based and sexual violence (GBV), discrimination, and harassment, as well as to addressing reports of such incidents. Whether you are a staff member, a student, a witness, or a victim of any act of violence, you can use the reporting system.

Listen

We have implemented an online declaration form Intended for staff and students at UGA and its constituent institutions: Grenoble INP - UGA and Ensag - UGA.

The information entered in the form is received by the program coordinator, who is based in the UGA’s Office of Legal and Institutional Affairs. The coordinator forwards the case to a team of two VSS discrimination advisors. Like the coordinator, they are bound by confidentiality regarding the information provided.

A listening and referral session is organized with the person making the report, during which the team of counselors listens to them attentively and with compassion. During the session, the team informs the person making the report about the services and support available to them (psychological, medical, legal).

Support

The coordinator handles the processing and follow-up of the report, in collaboration with members of the unit within the Office of Legal and Institutional Affairs and the Office of Human Resources at the UGA or the constituent institution.
  • For staff:
Support is provided by the occupational health department, occupational psychologists, and the prevention department.
  • For students, including doctoral candidates and medical and pharmacy students:
A partnership with the organizations France Victime 38 and Remaid 26 enables victims of sexual and sexual violence, discrimination, or harassment to receive psychological and legal support tailored to their needs.

Protection

Protective measures may be taken by the university president or the administration of the constituent institutions, such as: adjustments to the workstation or workplace, or precautionary measures to ensure physical distancing.

Depending on the circumstances, the victim may report a workplace accident, take a leave of absence, or request protective measures from the university president or the administration of the constituent institutions.

The university president or the administration of the constituent institutions may decide to launch an outsourced administrative investigation, depending on the situation.

Processing of Reports

Based on the facts and/or the results of the administrative investigation, precautionary, disciplinary, or reporting measures may be taken by the university president or the administration of the constituent institutions, as well as, if necessary, the initiation of proceedings under Article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure before the courts of Grenoble and Valence.
