French School of Artificial Intelligence (EFELIA-MIAI)

Skills and Careers of the Future
Training
The goal of the EFELIA-MIAI project is to develop and accelerate training in artificial intelligence in order to meet the growing needs of research and industry in France.
Topic:
Artificial Intelligence

Background and Issues

Thanks to the synergy among the four 3IA institutes across the country, EFELIA-MIAI aims to establish a French school of artificial intelligence (AI).

The mission of this school is to:
  • certify AI training programs;
  • Share computing and challenge platforms designed for students.
  • develop pilot training programs and new educational content.
The project aims to expand access to AI training in line with societal and environmental challenges. In particular, it seeks to broaden AI education across all levels, from undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s degree, BUT) to vocational training and lifelong learning (LLL).

In order to raise awareness among more students about AI and its responsible use, given its impacts, the project also aims to foster familiarity with AI in high schools, in particular by providing educators with teaching kits.
These initiatives aim to inspire more people to pursue careers and attract a greater number of young people—particularly young women—to new careers in the field of artificial intelligence.
