La Francophonie: A Cultural and Scientific Commitment
Since its inception, the Université Grenoble Alpes has been actively committed to promoting cultural and scientific Francophonie.
A Key Role in the Francophone Network
As a full member of the Agence universitaire de la francophonie and a major partner of Campus France, we carry out cooperation projects developed in collaboration with our counterparts in Africa, Asia, and Canada.
These initiatives aim to:
Strengthen higher education capacity in partner countries.
Support the training of trainers.
Contribute toeducational innovation, particularly in the context of the digital transition.
Numerous projects—including research initiatives, mobility programs, and summer schools—have been launched thanks to regional, national, and European support, fostering a spirit of solidarity within the Francophone community. These initiatives are based on ongoing dialogue and the exchange of cultures, languages, and knowledge, in a spirit of respect and solidarity.
The Strategic Partnership with Mitacs (Canada)
Scientific cooperation with Canada is a strategic priority for the Université Grenoble Alpes.
A framework agreement A five-year agreement was signed in July 2019 with the Canadian agency Mitacs. This agreement aims to develop these collaborative efforts, particularly through the funding for trips research opportunities for our students, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers.
Mitacs plays a vital role in fostering innovation in North America and around the world. The organization connects industry with leading institutions of higher education to address innovation challenges, funds cutting-edge research, and helps students and researchers become more employable.
