The Academic Council of the Université Grenoble Alpes

The Academic Council is composed of members of the Research Committee, the Committee on Education and University Life, and the Committee on Student Life.
In plenary session, it is responsible for examining matters relating to the recruitment, career progression, and assignment of teacher-researchers, with the exception of the prerogatives listed in items 6 to 13 of Article 73 of the statutes of the Université Grenoble Alpes.

It issues opinions and recommendations on the direction of policies regarding education, research, the dissemination of scientific, technical, and industrial knowledge, and scientific and technical documentation; it also issues opinions and recommendations on all measures aimed at ensuring the exercise of academic freedom and students’ union and political freedoms.

It is the body within which the disciplinary sections are formed.
