A responsible, ethical, and controlled approach in service of the missions of the Université Grenoble Alpes
The University ofUniversité Grenoble Alpes s (UGA) has adopted a framework for artificial intelligence (AI) to support the development of these technologies in teaching, research, and administration, while ensuring that they are used in an ethical and responsible manner consistent with academic values.
Drawing on its recognized scientific expertise—notably through the MIAI Cluster—UGA is committed to an approach based on controlled innovation, digital frugality, data protection, digital sovereignty, and respect for scientific integrity.
This framework establishes clear principles: AI must be used critically and transparently, without replacing human expertise, while avoiding bias and adhering to academic standards, particularly in assessments and scientific research.
Designed as a living document, this framework supports the academic community in its gradual adoption of AI and sets forth a bold goal: to make UGA a leading player in the use of artificial intelligence to advance knowledge, benefit society, and support the ecological transition.
