Making Public Procurement a Tool for Sustainable Transformation
Sustainable Development
Université Grenoble Alpes's 2023–2025 responsible purchasing policy affirms the strategic role of public procurement as a lever for the university's missions and its ecological, social, and economic transition.
Based on a detailed analysis of expenditures, it promotes procurement practices that are frugal, inclusive, and efficient, incorporating a full-cost approach, the reduction of environmental impacts, support for social inclusion and equality, as well as economic and legal performance.
Implemented cross-functionally across all stakeholders within the institution, this policy aims to buy better rather than buy more by strengthening resource pooling, the use of purchasing central bodies and frameworks, the professionalization of practices, and the integration of CSR criteria. It is fully aligned with Université Grenoble Alpes's commitments to social responsibility and the sustainable transformation of its operations.
